Delhi is a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi created by the British Raj is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and many empires for about a millennium. Many a times the city was built, destroyed and then rebuilt here. Interestingly, a number of Delhi's rulers played a dual role, first as destroyers and then as creators.
This morning after breakfast first you will visit old Delhi. The Raj Ghat, Red fort & Jama Masjid are important places to visit, you may also visit Chandni Chowk, spice market etc. Later on proceed to visit the New Delhi. The Qutub Minar, tallest stone tower in India, imposing India Gate and the Rastrapathi Bhawan, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Lotus Temple and, newly built Akshardham temple are of much significance. By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay. - Day 03. Delhi to Jaipur
This morning after breakfast you will drive to the pink city of Jaipur, On arrival check into your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Jaipur.
- Day 04. Jaipur City Tour
This morning after breakfast visit the Amber fort, built in 16th century, enjoy an elephant ride at Amber. Drive past the Hawa Mahal-a Palace of winds. In the afternoon you will visit the city palace and museum, walk to adjacent Jantar Mantar an astronomical observatory. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Jaipur.
- Day 05. Jaipur to Agra
This morning after breakfast you will drive to Mughal city Agra and check into your hotel. Enroute you will visit the Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. This afternoon visit the Agra fort, built by the great Emperor Akbar, and the famous Taj Mahal-the symbol of love, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 06. Agra to Gwalior
This morning you will be transferred by road to Gwalior, after check in at hotel visit the Gwalior Fort, one of the most invincible forts in India, this imposing citadel, has changed many hands, but has rarely been captured. Rising 100m above the town, the fort hill is about 3km in length. Also visit the Sun Temple, Tomb of Tansen "father of Indian classical music and one of the nine Gems in Akbar's court" and Mausoleums of Ghaus Mohammed. Overnight at Hotel.
- Day 07. Gwalior to Orchha
This morning after breakfast you will be transferred by road to Orchha. Orchha has three beautiful palaces within the fort complex, Raj Mahal, Rai Praveen Mahal & Jahangir Mahal. Also visit Ram Raja Temple, Laxmi Narayan Temple, Phool Bagh, Shahid Smarak, etc. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 08. Orchha to Khajuraho
This morning after breakfast you will be transferred by road to Khajuraho, check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free at your leisure. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 09. Khajuraho City Tour
After check in at hotel visit the world renowned Khajuraho temples, known for its erotic sculptures. Visit EASTERN & WESTERN GROUP OF TEMPLES Khajuraho, the ancient Kharjjura-vahaka represent today a distinct pattern of art and temple architecture of its own reminding one of the rich and creative period it witnessed during the Chandella rule. It was the principal seat of authority of the Chandella rulers who adorned it with numerous tanks, scores of lofty temples of sculptural grace and architectural splendour. The local tradition lists eighty-five temples but now only twenty-five are standing examples in various stages of preservation. But for Chausath-Yogini, Brahma and Mahadeva which are of granite, all the other temples are of fine grained sandstone, buff, pink or pale yellow in colour.
- Day 10. Khajuraho to Varanasi by flight
Transfer to Airport to board the flight to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi, pick up and transfer to Hotel. This afternoon visit the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga temple, Tulsi Manas mandir, Banaras Hindu University which has an art gallery, Kashi Vishwanath Temple etc. Overnight at Hotel.
- Day 11. Boat Ride & visit to Sarnath
Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing ghats and cremation site. Watching people bathing and worshipping at the ghats is one of the most extraordinary experiences of a visit to India. This afternoon visit Sarnath, the Buddhist city, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the ruins, the stupa, the Buddhist temple and the museum. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
- Day 12. Varanasi to Delhi by Flight & Transfer to International Airport

Eastern Group of Temples
The temple of Parsvanath is the largest of the Jain temples in Khajuraho and the finest. The temple was originally dedicated to Adinath and later to Parsvanath. It is the finest example of the sensitive art without any sexual motifs. Near this temple is the temple of Adinath with fine carvings. The temple is quite similar to the Hindu temples of Khajuraho. Shantinath is the youngest of all the temples in Khajuraho India. Though it looks like the most other temples in Khajuraho, it is just a century old. The temple has a four and a half meter statue of Adinath. Mostly in ruins now, the temple of Ghantai has fine columns and chains and bells, with a figure of a Jain goddess on a garuda. One of the oldest temples in Khajuraho is the temple of Brahma and Hanuman. The temple is built mostly of granite and sandstone. Actually, this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Nearby is a Hanuman temple reputed to have the earliest inscription dating back to AD 922 on a 2½ m statue. Two other notable temples are Javari and Vamana temple. Overnight in Khajuraho. - Day 04. - Khajuraho.
After breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of the temples of the Southern Group. There are only two temples in the southern group of temples. The Duladeo is somewhat new and built in a time when the creativity of Khajuraho was well down its peak. The temple has wooden structures that take away its authenticity somewhat. The other temple is of Chaturbhuja, pretty far from the village. The temple has a 3m high statue of Vishnu. After lunch, proceed for the Dhubela museum ,64 km away from Khajuraho. Located on the bank of a lake, the museum houses a wide variety of sculpture of the Shakti cult. There are different sections on garments, weapons and paintings. Drive down back to Khajuraho. Overnight stay at the hotel.

In the morning, visit the Eastern group of temples. Less ornate than the Western Group, they symbolise the inherent simplicity of Jainism. Later, drive to Jhansi to take the train to Agra. - Day 02. - Delhi.
After having breakfast, get ready for a day full of fun. The whole day will be used to have a tour of Old and New Delhi. First, a visit to Jama Masjid built by Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest mosque in India. Then a visit to the Red Fort, it was initially named as the Quila-i-Mubarak which means the ‘Blessed Fort’ that became home to the Mughal Royal family and also served as the Capital of the Mughal Empire. Then, we will visit the Humanyun’s tomb, the first garden-tomb of the Indian subcontinent. It was built in 1570 and is an accomplished example of the Mughal architecture. Also, visits to the Qutub Minar, the famous India Gate and President House. The tour of the city concludes with a visit to the Lakshmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir).
- Day 03. - Delhi - Jaipur.
Next day in the afternoon, leave for Jaipur. It is the first planned city of India, located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. The city which now serves as the capital of Rajasthan had been the basic of the royalty. The city was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on 18 November 1727. The old city of Jaipur was fabricated by Maharaja Jai Singh II, on the ambit of Shilpa-Shastra, which is the age-old Hindu architectonics style. The actual anatomy of Jaipur resembles the savor of the Rajputs and the Royal family. At your arrival in Jaipur, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. - Day 04. - Jaipur.
After having breakfast, a visit to the Amber Fort, situated at a distance of 11kms from Jaipur, the fort was built by Raja Man Singh but was completed by Sawai Jai Singh. The fort is a perfect example of Mughal and Hindu architecture; it is built using white marble and red sandstone. To cover the journey from the foothills of the Aravallis to the main entrance of the fort, you will be given an opportunity to enjoy the elephant ride, which is a part of old Royal culture. Then later in the afternoon, a tour of the Jaipur city. A visit to the City Palace, the palace also houses a museum which has an wide collection of art, carpets, weapons and enamel ware. Also visit the Jantar Mantar – the astronomical observatory built by the great astronomer Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728 and the fascia of Hawa Mahal.
- Day 05. - Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra.
Leave for Agra after breakfast. On the way, visit the Fatehpur Sikri which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569. Earlier, it was the capital of the mughals but was deserted after 15 years due to shortage of water. Also, explore the other elegant buildings including the Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti and other Palaces which still hold their original magnificence. Proceed towards Agra. On arrival at Agra in the afternoon, check-in to the hotel.
- Day 06. - Agra.
Next day, after having breakfast, explore the beauty of Agra. A visit to the Red Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and further changes were made up till the time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. The fort houses remarkable Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience respectively. Then go to Itmad-ul-Daulah, which puts prosperous resemblance of Persian architecture, and built by Empress Noor Jahan as tribute to her father Ghias-ud-Din Beg. The major attraction of the day – the Taj Mahal, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and was made by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of the Taj started in 1631 and it took around 22 years to complete it. From afternoon, you are free for individual activities. Night stay at Agra hotel.
- Day 07. - Agra - Jhansi - Orchha - Khajuraho.
Leave for Khajuraho after having breakfast, while travelling to Khajuraho visit Orchha - meaning a "hidden place", certainly lives up to its name. Languishing amid a tangle of scrubby dark forest, 18km southeast of Jhansi was once the capital of the Bundela dynasty. Clustered about the bottom of the alien ruins, a asleep village of neatly corrective houses and bazaar stalls. You would also visit the Ram raja temple and the fortress surrounding the city. Then we will carry on with our journey to Khajuraho, on arrival check-in to the hotel.
- Day 08. - Khajuraho.
After having breakfast, we will leave for Khajuraho; built between 950 to 1050 A.D. during the Chandela dynasty of Central India. Khajuraho houses the largest group of Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture. There are 25 surviving temples. In every temple, there is the depiction of royalty, armies, wrestling, kinship, war, courtship, marriage, lovemaking, music and dancing, spiritual teachings, union, meditation, bliss, gods, goddesses, plants, animals and an abundance of all human forms. The Khajuraho group of monuments has been listed as a World Heritage Site, and is considered to be one of the "seven wonders" of India. Spend the evening at leisure and night stay at hotel.
- Day 09. - Khajuraho - Varanasi.
Next day, leave for Varanasi after having breakfast. Varanasi is approximately 8hrs from Khajuraho by road. You will reach Varanasi by evening, at arrival check-in to the hotel. Take rest in the evening and night stay at the hotel.
- Day 10. - Varanasi (Kashi).
Varanasi, also known as Kashi and Benaras, is the cultural capital of India. It is one of the oldest living cities in the world, with a continuous history dating back 3,000 to 5,000 years. Today, it retains much of the allure of the ancient world. The present name Varanasi has its origin in the two tributaries of the Ganges - Varuna and Asi. After breakfast, a visit to Sarnath – the hidden Buddhist city Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma. After the Buddha attained enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, he came to Sarnath. Here in the Deer Park, Buddha delivered his first sermon, or in religious language, set in motion the ‘Wheel of Dharma’ (maha- Dharmachakra Pravartan). Sarnath is the place accustomed by the Buddha himself for pilgrimage and it is one of the four holy sites of the Buddhists. At Sarnath, there are many others place to explore like the Dharmrajika Stupa, impressive Lion capital, India’s National Emblem at Sarnath museum, the Saddharmachakra Vihar’s at biconcave ruins.
- Day 11. - Varanasi.
A boat rides early in the morning to explore the bathing Ghats (river banks) and cremation site. From the boat, experience the glorious sun to rise over the river; this is a holistically uplifting sight. The countless Ghats along with the banks of Ganges in Varanasi are also referred as the ceremonial stairs. Here, you can many people performing different Hindu ceremonies. Few of the Ghats are as old as hundred years scattered all over the city with more than 25,000 temples. Return back to hotel for breakfast. After having breakfast, a tour of Varanasi city- a visit to the Bharat Mata temple. Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936, the Bharat Mata Temple is unique in this city of shrines, as the principal deity is Mother India. The stunning central statue found in the temple is a map of an undivided India, carved out of marble. Visit the Durga temple, Tulsi manas Mandir, the Banaras Hindu university which also has an art gallery and the mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. In the afternoon, a venture to Ramnagar. In the evening, return back by boat. On the way back, observe the religious ceremonies along the banks of river Ganges.
- Day 12. - Varanasi - Delhi or Kathmandu (Flight).
